EVERY SATURDAY, Saturday Cycling
The BIG WEEKLY RIDE FOR EVERYONE, starts from Kiwanis Park, SE of Mill Ave and Baseline Rd. We rotate between more than a dozen routes, and at least two distance options are always offered (~2 5miles, and 35 miles or more). The standard (shortest) route is a NO-DROP ride, with Certified Cycling Instructor Kathy Mills riding sweep. Beginners and newcomers are always welcome! There is an optional breakfast stop near the finish. We meet in the parking lot on S All America Way nearest to Mill Ave. The start times throughout the year are: January 8:30 a.m., February 8:00 a.m., March 7:30 a.m., April 7:00 a.m., May/June/July/August 6:30 a.m., September 7:00 a.m., October 7:30 a.m., November 8:00 a.m., December 8:30 a.m. Contact Ken St. John.

EVERY SATURDAY, Sun Lakes Breakfast Ride
Meet at the big flagpole at Sun Lakes Cottonwood Clubhouse on Robson Blvd. just south of Riggs (address is 25630 S Brentwood Dr, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248) for 20-40 mile breakfast rides at a pace of 15-17 mph. Join this Sunday ride option from Desert Breeze Park located between McClintock and Rural, Chandler Blvd. and Ray along Desert Breeze Blvd (north parking lot). Rides are 40 - 50 miles (with cutoff short route options) and the ride is generally dedicated to pace line riding at about 20-22 MPH. Breakfast near the end of the ride. Come join us! EVERY WEDNESDAY, Wednesday No-Drop Ride
Each Wednesday morning is an opportunity to join us for a no-drop ride in the Southeast valley (Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Gilbert). The ride distance and pace is set according to who comes for the ride. Usually not less than 20 or more than 40 miles distance. About 12 mph with beginners to short runs of 20 mph with wild animals pedaling. We usually ride from Desert Breeze Park in Chandler and have breakfast/brunch after the ride. Start at 8:30 a.m. from Kiwanis Park. Tour de Sue is a flat loop to the south, with route options of 25 or 35 miles. Both routes include a good long stretch with no traffic lights. New Route-Ocoshaughnessy Loop (53 Miles) (No Map) - Down to Riggs, up to Chandler via Reservation and then Fry and Shaughnessy Hills and back to Desert Breeze. February 2 (Sat) Saturday Cycling: Marco Polo - View Map
Start at 8:00 a.m. from Kiwanis Park. The 26-mile standard route goes east on Guadalupe for 12 miles, then loops back on Elliot. The 41-mile long route keeps going east all the way to Ellsworth, then heads a little further south before rejoining the Elliot return path. Breakfast at Panera Bread, McClintock and Guadalupe. The classroom training session of the Smart Cycling Course takes place this Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Knowing how to ride safely also means knowing the laws, rules of the road, and principles of traffic law. It also means ensuring your bicycle is in good working order, how to share trails and sidewalks, and what to do in the event of a crash. This curriculum offers in-depth details for new and experienced riders on how to ride more safely, confidently, and more often in various terrains and climates. This class consists of a classroom training session and an outdoor riding session. You must attend both sessions. See Major Events for more information.

A two-day fundraising series supporting The MS Society in its mission to end Multiple Sclerosis. Rides start and finish at McDowell Mountain Regional Park with options to either ride on the road for various longer distances, on the inner-park paved short route, or experience the Pemberton Loop trail ride option. March 31 (Sun) The Sunday Kickoff
Join us for a no-drop ride in the far southeast valley (Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek). Our routes are 25 to 30 miles. Typical speed on the flats is 16-17 mph, and the overall average speed is usually about 15 mph. For route information, visit the event calendar page here.
