EVERY SATURDAY, Saturday Cycling
The BIG WEEKLY RIDE FOR EVERYONE, starts from Kiwanis Park, SE of Mill Ave and Baseline Rd. We rotate between more than a dozen routes, and at least two distance options are always offered (~2 5miles, and 35 miles or more). The standard (shortest) route is a NO-DROP ride, with Certified Cycling Instructor Kathy Mills riding sweep. Beginners and newcomers are always welcome! There is an optional breakfast stop near the finish. We meet in the parking lot on S All America Way nearest to Mill Ave. The start times throughout the year are: January 8:30 a.m., February 8:00 a.m., March 7:30 a.m., April 7:00 a.m., May/June/July/August 6:30 a.m., September 7:00 a.m., October 7:30 a.m., November 8:00 a.m., December 8:30 a.m. Contact Ken St. John.

EVERY SATURDAY, Sun Lakes Breakfast Ride
Meet at the big flagpole at Sun Lakes Cottonwood Clubhouse on Robson Blvd. just south of Riggs (address is 25630 S Brentwood Dr, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248) for 20-40 mile breakfast rides at a pace of 15-17 mph. EVERY SUNDAY, The Desert Breeze Spin-Cycle
Join this Sunday ride option from Desert Breeze Park located between McClintock and Rural, Chandler Blvd. and Ray along Desert Breeze Blvd (north parking lot). Rides are 40 - 50 miles (with cutoff short route options) and the ride is generally dedicated to pace line riding at about 20-22 MPH. Breakfast near the end of the ride. Come join us! The Sunday Kickoff no-drop group rides at a typical speed of 16-17 mph and our overall average speed is about 15 mph. During the cooler months, on the first Sunday of each month we may deviate from our normal routine. Please check the ride calendar below. All other Sundays are from Panera Bread, NE corner of Ocotillo and Arizona Ave, for a ride of 25 to 30 miles, with breakfast at Panera after the ride, with start times of: January-February 9:00 a.m., March 8:00 a.m., April 7:30 a.m., May 7:00 a.m., June-August 6:30 a.m., September 7:00 a.m., October 7:30 a.m., November 8:00 a.m., December 9:00 a.m. Visitors and non-members are welcome. EVERY WEDNESDAY, Wednesday No-Drop Ride
Each Wednesday morning is an opportunity to join us for a no-drop ride in the Southeast valley (Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Gilbert). The ride distance and pace is set according to who comes for the ride. Usually not less than 20 or more than 40 miles distance. About 12 mph with beginners to short runs of 20 mph with wild animals pedaling. We usually ride from Desert Breeze Park in Chandler and have breakfast/brunch after the ride. Start at 7:00 a.m. from Kiwanis Park. Distance options of 32 miles with no climbing, or 44 miles with a gentle climb. Breakfast at Panera Bread at McClintock and Guadalupe. September 22-29 (Sat-Sat) 2018 California Coast Classic Bicycle Tour
The Arthritis Foundation's California Coast Classic Bike Tour is a scenic bike ride that takes place over 8 days and covers 525 miles along the coast on Highway 1. The Tour starts in the heart of San Francisco and ends in the iconic Pacific Palisades of Los Angeles. The "CCC", as it is affectionately known, is a full-service ride which provides the framework for one of the most incredible experiences of a lifetime. September 23 (Sun) Spin Cycle: Original Mummy
Meet at 7:00 a.m. in the north parking lot at Desert Breeze Park in Chandler (located between McClintock and Rural, Chandler Blvd. and Ray along Desert Breeze Blvd). Original Mummy (45 miles plus some possible bonus in and outs) - Einstein's at Rural and Guadalupe for breakfast. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department sponsors Silent Sunday on the fourth Sunday of each month. On Silent Sundays starting at 5 a.m. the park's roadways past the Central Avenue gate will be reserved for non-motorized use. Come on out and enjoy a car free bicycle ride in the park. Start at 7:00 a.m. from Kiwanis Park. Summer will be over and it's time to climb the mountain. Route options of 24 miles with a bit of gentle climbing, 38 miles with moderate climbing, or 39 miles with the longest steady climb within 20 miles of Kiwanis Park. Breakfast is at AZ Bread, southeast of Elliot & Kyrene. Meet in the parking lot on the west side of S All America Way, south of the lake and north of the Sister City Garden. Contact: Ken St. John.

October 7 (Sun) Tour de Scottsdale
The fifteenth annual Tour de Scottsdale, is Sunday, October 7, 2018. The event kicks off at Market Street in DC Ranch, which is located near the southeast corner of Pima Road and Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale. The event features a 70-mile and 30-mile ride. Start time for the Tour de Scottsdale is 6:30 am for both the 70-mile and 30-mile ride. The event beneficiary is the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, a nonprofit conservation organization in Scottsdale that protects and promotes the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The Tour de Scottsdale event is capped at 2,000 cyclists so register now! Visit Tour de Scottsdale for more ride and registration information.

October 20 (Sat) Arizona Bicycle Classic
The Arizona Bicycle Classic takes advantage of our state's best seasons for outdoor adventure in order to serve up an off-the-charts road cycling experience. This semi-annual fun event, held every April and October, features three distances: 28, 56, or 78 miles. The mild terrain along State Route 188, with gently rolling hills, also features spectacular Wild West scenery. According to the state's Cycle Arizona map, SR 188 is one of the least-traveled paved roads in Arizona. The event starts and finishes at picturesque Jake's Corner, about 80 miles northeast of Phoenix. From there, riders will enjoy views of saguaro forests as far as the eye can see, as well as the rugged Sierra Ancha Wilderness and the Superstition Mountains.
