Other Rides of Interest
Arizona Bicycle Classic - October 20, 2018
Scenic Arizona Events' Arizona Bicycle Classic takes advantage of our state's best seasons for outdoor adventure in order to serve up an off-the-charts road cycling experience. This semi-annual fun event, held every April and October, features three distances: 28, 56, or 78 miles. The mild terrain along State Route 188, with gently rolling hills, also features spectacular Wild West scenery. According to the state's Cycle Arizona map, SR 188 is one of the least-traveled paved roads in Arizona. The event starts and finishes at picturesque Jake's Corner, about 80 miles northeast of Phoenix. From there, riders will enjoy views of saguaro forests as far as the eye can see, as well as the rugged Sierra Ancha Wilderness and the Superstition Mountains. Visit Arizona Bicycle Classic for more ride and registration information.

30th Annual Lions Ride for Sight - October 28, 2018
The Phoenix Breakfast Lions Club holds their 30th annual Ride for Sight which begins at Riverboat Bingo, 18324 West Bell Road in Surprise, on Sunday October 28, 2018. The ride follows the Sun Valley Parkway to the north and west of the White Tank Mountains. You may choose to ride 25 miles or 50 miles, then return to Riverboat Bingo, where lunch awaits. Proceeds from the ride help to pay for eye exams and eyeglasses for school children of low-income families in central Phoenix. Visit Phoenix Breakfast Lions Club for more ride and registration information.

El Tour de Tucson - November 17, 2018
Billed as Arizona's largest and longest-running bicycling event, El Tour de Tucson attracts over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities. Cyclists pedal main event distances of 100, 75, 50, or 25 miles or choose the Fun Ride of 10, 4, 1 miles or a fun 1/4 mile activity course. Main event routes feature beautiful vistas of Tucson's four surrounding mountain ranges three rise over 9,000 feet - against the backdrop of the majestic Saguaro cactus, icon of the Sonoran Desert.
